Move over!

The rule of thumb for nesting boxes is one per every four hens.  And apparently, this is the reason why...

No matter how many hens and how many boxes one has, the girls just can't resist the urge to lay in the same box, at the same time!

Even when there is a vacant box right next door!

I am just waiting for the day I find all four of them in the same box!

We're having the same issue here. And until a few days ago, they would all sleep in the same nesting box, quite literally on top of each other. Now one is sleeping on a perch, another on the ladder, and the other in a nesting box.
