An egg-citing moment

So, you want to know how our first eggs were prepared and eaten?  Did I make a quiche? a cake? a souffle?

Nope.  I cracked them into a pan and fried them up with a little butter.  Yes, REAL butter. Then, I added a little salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce (I am from Louisiana, you know)...

and laid them between two pieces of bread with a little cheddar and mayo...

resulting in the best fried egg sandwich I've ever eaten!

Yes, simply fried really is the best way :o)

I love fried egg sandwiches! Now I am going to have to go make one. :)
Nothing like the flavor of a real, honest to goodness, homegrown, fresh egg! Yummmmmmy!

That is definitely a meal to be remembered! Now you've got me planning for the future here...I'm thinking egg-in-a-hole.

It is amazing how different homegrown eggs taste compared to store bought. Simply divine.

Linda, I had a friend who called your version "toad-in-a-hole" instead.

Don wants to move to your house. :) You had him at "cheddar and mayo."

Justina...I'm thinking Don would much rather eat fried egg sandwiches with mayo and cheddar at YOUR house. I mean, really, who could ever leave all those donkeys, goats, dogs and views behind? And let's not forget the bats, the swallows, the toads, the hummingbirds and the moths!

Arnetta...yep, mmmmm good!
