I found this You Tube video on Kelle's blog, The Never Done Farm. Maybe this is old news to some folks, but it was a complete shocker to me. Just another reason we need to be more vigilant about researching the origins of our foods! Better yet, more reason to crank up the home growing and preserving so we know exactly what goes into our mouths.

Well, I am going to say it. I will do my darndest not to buy anything from China, or some other countries for several reasons. Yup, I look at all labels to see where it comes from.
AJ-OAKS...I'm with you and I DO read all labels, for us and for the pets. But, I had absolutely no idea that what Whole Foods sells under their brand name label and considers "organic" is actually grown in China! I feel so betrayed...
I have been on a no-China campaign for awhile,
I don't even buy my grand-dogs chew thingys made there. Its a shame such a well thought of store as Whole Foods succumbed to buying foods from China...
We don't have one nearby, but I have been to one when we've visited our TX granddaughter.
Arnetta....I'm on a no-China campaign too, but it is so hard these days to find anything that is not imported! And you are right about the dog chews. Geez, you'd think we don't have cows or pigs in the U.S. that could be used for dog treats!
Hey thanks. I didn't hear about that but I'm not surprised. Whole Paycheck has been really good about greenwashing their image ever since they sold out and went for the money.
But I'm also pissed because I really like that house label!
Rene...glad I'm not the only one who hadn't heard about this. Yeah, I liked their brand name stuff too, but never again!
