Back At The Ranch

We took a day trip to The Ranch yesterday to check out the building progress. Both Neal and I were really pleased with what we saw. Due to some rainy days, the builders weren't able to finish this week, but if all goes well, they will be finished next week. They just lack a little roofing and siding work, and we're waiting for the wagon wheel inserts for the garage door. Since I am a visual learner, it was fabulous for me to stand in the middle of our new building and envision how everything will look one day. Up until this point, it's been mostly drawings on paper, but now it's really starting to come alive. Take a look and see what you think.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Wow - I know you must have been tickled to death. It's an awesome building. The perfect weekend retreat. And it is so cool that when you move there, the building will still be totally functional. Did you stay the night there?

Hey Penny, we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it too! Neal is pretty particular about things and he said several times how happy he was with it, so it gets the golden seal of approval!

No, we didn't stay the night this time because we had friends with us. But we will be spending many weekends there in the months to come.

Rene, it is very cool, isn't it? And to think, you and Jim witnessed the process from the very beginning! If you feel like heading back our way, we'll trade you a free spot to park the rig, in exchange for some hands to help with the manual labor!

frugalmom, the views ARE incredible from our place. And it is soooo peaceful out there. We can almost hear the blades of grass growing! It's very cool to sit and watch the deer and cows stroll across the property and look at us as if WE are the intruders!
